We have recently extended our pick up hours and added flexible payment options in an effort to make Community Supported Agriculture more accessible. Traditionally, payment for a CSA is collected early in the year, in order for the farmer to raise capital to cover the expenses of planting. This model has provided critical support to help sustain small farms. But we understand that the payment can be prohibitive for potential members. By allowing members to spread the cost over several months, we hope to make CSA membership possible for those people.
Members can divide their balance into four payments: 25% due at sign up 25% due before June 1 25% due before July 1 25% due before August 1 Our hours in Norwalk and Ridgefield have been extended to 6:30 and 6:00 pm to accommodate the schedule of our working members. We also offer delivery to offices and community groups with several members. The Temple Beth El in Stamford is an example of a semi-private pick up location. We still have room in our schedule to add more delivery locations. To make arrangements, contact Megan at info@simpaugfarms.com or (203) 431-7166.
