2018 CSA FAQS:
WHAT IS CSA?
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members receive a weekly assortment of fresh, seasonal vegetables, herbs, melons, berries, eggs (optional), and occasional preserved items from the farm. Members sign up and pay in advance for the entire season.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Click here to go to the registration page. You will be asked to select your vegetable share and optional egg share, select your pickup location, and enter your contact information. You will have the option to pay online with a credit card through PayPal, or you can select and invoice and mail a check. It just takes minute to sign up. WHAT VEGETABLES ARE INCLUDED IN THE CSA SHARE?
Arugula, Basil, Beets, Broccoli, Broccoli Rabe, Brussels Sprouts, Beans, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Collards, Cucumbers, Eggplant, Fennel, Greens Mix, Herbs, Hot Peppers, Kale, Kohlrabi, Leeks, Lettuce, Melon, Onions, Parsley, Peas, Pumpkins, Radishes, Spinach, Strawberries, Summer Squash, Sweet Peppers, Swiss, Chard, Tomatillos, Tomatoes, Turnips, Watermelon, Winter Squash, and more!
DO I CHOOSE WHAT COMES IN MY SHARE?
Nope! This is the adventurous part of CSA. Each week our expert farmers thoughtfully select an assortment of seasonal items for our members, including vegetables, herbs, melons, and berries. We are careful to ensure quality, variety, and value in each share.
HOW MUCH IS IN A WEEKLY SHARE?
Share size can vary from week to week. Every family is different, but a full share typically suits a family of four and includes between 10-14 items. Below you can see pictures of 2017 shares. This will give you a good idea of how much produce to expect in your weekly share.
New for 2018: Half shares will be on a weekly basis and smaller in size than a full share - between 6-10 items.
WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE?
The season will be 20 weeks starting June 18 and running through October 29.
Currently accepting members for the following locations:
- Ridgefield, CT
- Suffield, CT (on-farm pick up)
- Norwalk, CT
- Ellington, CT
- New Canaan, CT
- Fairfield, CT
The farm is expecting to have an outstanding harvest this year so we have decided to take on more CSA members. Please feel free to register even after our season has begun. Please contact Max (email@example.com or 203-984-7289) and he will discount your share price appropriately depending on how far along we are into the schedule.
Also soon to come are registrations for a fall CSA program that will run the second half of the season. Please check back soon for registration if interested.
WHAT IS THE PRICE?
$700 for full share at a drop off location
$400 for half share at a drop off location
$600 for full share on farm pick up
$350 for half share on farm pick up
WHEN DO I PAY?
Balance may be paid in full at signup, or before the beginning of the season. Payments can be made at any time by logging into your account or mailing a check.
No refunds will be given.
Late fees may be assessed on overdue balance.
WHAT IF I MISS MY PICK UP?
Uncollected shares will be donated, unless other arrangements are made in advance. If you know you will be unable to pick up, please ask a friend or neighbor to pick up for you. Anyone can pick up your share, you do not need to notify us. We may also be able to arrange to hold your share or reschedule your pick up with advance notice. No refunds will be given.

Thursdays from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Simpaug Farm in West Suffield, CT
Saturdays from 9:00 am to noon at Ellington Farmers Market in Ellington, CT
Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Fairfield Farmers Market in Fairfield, CT
