PORK FAQS:
PASTURE-RAISED MEATS
Our small family of heritage breed hogs are pasture raised outdoors. They are fed a diet of locally grown grains, along with surplus farm vegetables and surplus bakery bread. They are raised with no hormones or antibiotics.
WHAT IS A PORK SHARE?
Pork shares are offered at $225 for 10-25 lbs of pork. There will be various cuts (sausage, pork chops, steaks, ribs, ground pork). Contact info@simpaugfarms.com to sign up for a pork share today!
WHOLE PIGS FOR SALE
Whole pigs are available for $3/lb with a final hanging weight at the butcher after slaughter plus a slaughter fee of $125. Various sizes available. We deliver to a local butcher of your choice for an additional charge. Customer selects preferred cuts and pays butcher costs (average $150). A 250 lb hog can be expected to yield around 145 lbs of cuts. It may be possible to reserve a half hog, please inquire if interested.
